Many years ago, some say hundreds and some say thousands, people believed in animal spirits called talismans. These talismans were like teachers, parents, friends and sometimes even enemies to the people they were bound to. Whether you liked it or not, these talismans guided you and helped you throughout your life, some more then others, depending on how lucky you were. Born with their spirits by their side, they wouldn't learn what it was until they had matured and the talismans believed they were ready. When the time came, the talismans showed revealed themselves and taught them how to shift into their animal forms.
But unity could not be held between these gifted people forever, and they soon split into different factions, each with their own goals and ideals. Tensions mounted; rumours spread. Before long, the fights broke out.
The origins of their names are lost in history, but the feud between the Hunters and the Innocents has raged ever since. Talk of magic used to bind uncooperative Talismans circulate, arousing fear and suspicion. The Hunters go to any length to stop, and even eliminate, the Innocents. The Innocents will fight back and do the same.
But whatever you do, don't take their labels at face value.
In a small town in southern Canada, a young woman is putting together a force to try to bring the Hunters to justice and free those who have been forced to serve under them. But she cannot do it alone.
Choose wisely, for your spirit depends on it.
Good question; why join Ever Changing Spirits? You've seen other animal shifter RPs before, this is just another one, right?
Right?
No! No no no no!
Well, why? I am more then happy to answer.
Quality! Yes, quality, baby-cakes! Sure, it looks nicer to have threads with 1000 word posts, but if it's all just blah blah blah, then what's the point? If it's a choice between boring 1000 word posts and dramatic, thrilling 200 word posts, we'd take the short posts any day (as long as it's good quality, mind you)! If you combine quality and quantity successfully, then we'll kiss your boots and worship the ground you walk on.
Freestyle Drama! Please disregard the lack of colour in our advert, we're really anything but black and white. We've got character-driven subplots, and occasional site-wide subplots for all to join, though we won't throw bricks at you if you don't want to. We're freestyle and member driven, so create the stories you want!
Can we has happy tiem nao plz? Well, let me think about it... Teehee, I jest. Of course you can! In fact, we love to have so much fun here, even the staff will join in! The environment in ECS is pretty fun-loving, easy-going and *coughinsanecough*. We've got games, a friendly and active staff (who doesn't like that?) and a rainbow of characters to thread with. We even have an NPC account for those of you who want a human player behind those extras. And cookies, don't forget the cookies. So what're you waiting for? Get over here!
But Kittypets can't be warriors! They don't have warrior blood!
Warrior blood... Too much of that has been spilled lately
Why offer me a chance then?
The truth is, we need warriors
Understand that this offer is not made lightly. If you wish to train with us, we will have to take you into our clan. You must either live with us and respect our ways, or return to your Twolegplace and never come back. you cannot live with a paw in each world.
Everything we do is for our clan It's a 24/7 game of Survival Our Future is up to Starclan The code must be kept But rules alone cannot determine our actions Follow our hearts We trust in our clans and in each other We all play a part We are united as Fireclan, Stoneclan, Driftclan, and Herbclan We are all a part of each other
I call upon my Warrior Ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. This apprentice has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend this apprentice to you as warriors in their turn.

The Fate of Five « Result #5 on Sept 23, 2008, 4:11pm »
StarClan failed the Clans. The lake is no longer a safe place to live, monsters roar everywhere, digging up the earth just as they were in the old forest, and twoleg nests are popping up all over the Clan territories. Firestar is on his last life, but StarClan sends him one last call to help their descendants. Redstar, Birchstar, Dawnstar, Swiftstar, and Cloudstar all come together in a dream to tell Firestar that they wish for there to be five Clans again. SkyClan has moved from their home at Cloudstar's willing, to a new place where all five Clans can live together as they once did long ago. Firestar takes on the task of explaining to the Clans everything about SkyClan and how their ancestors betrayed the Clan and lied to them about there always being four Clans. Some cats don't believe him, but they all agree that leaving the lake is their only option.
Firestar leads the Clans back into the mountains, only he travels deeper and deeper into them, past what even the Tribe cats have knowledge of. The journey is hard and some cats are lost, but eventually they come to a beautiful valley hidden away deep within the mountains. SkyClan is already there and Leafstar greets Firestar and the other Clans openly, showing the Clans around the large spread of the valley. Her Clan has already explored its depths. Soon, boundaries and territories had been marked out and the Clans began their new life, the four a little uneasy about SkyClan and also having lost a little faith in StarClan for lying to them. However, this pwhere the sun don't shineed over a generation's time and the Clans are now in their second generation of cats to be living in the mountain valley. There are five Clans once more and StarClan is pleased with the Clans' new home, where no twolegs make their nest and no monsters roar by on thunderpaths.
In sight of so many changes in the Clans, StarClan sent each leader a message. Every Clan should be renamed, for they truly were new Clans, living in new territory and with new cats, the first in so very long to live as five Clans. ThunderClan lived in the forest, full of so many different trees, they were renamed TreeClan. WindClan, for their speed, was renamed LightningClan. Because SkyClan lived among the fallen rocks and boulders from one of the mountains, it was renamed StoneClan. ShadowClan, because they lived among the dark pine woods where light could barely claw its way through the branches, was called NightClan. And because the Clans were going back to their old ways with five Clans, StarClan wished to signify this by renaming RiverClan and calling RainClan, for the river came from the rain just as the four originally came from the five.
Soon, the first prophecy that the five Clans must face together will be delivered: Night will fall over the Forest Trees will block out the Light A mighty Storm will scatter Stone Five fall to Four and One falls to flight A kit finds it's mother to take up the fight And the Mountain's peace will crumble and cease
Welcome to The Final Clan. Not too long ago, a disease hit the four original Clans; ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan. The leaders met and decided that they could no longer stay in the territory. With heavy hearts, the healthy cats of the Clans left their Clanmates for a better life...
The four Clans combined when they got to the new territory. They named themselves DreamClan, after the dream that had led Sparrowstar to the new land. At first, everything seemed to be going well. The cats were healthy and there were no signs of danger... until now.
A strange cat has taken over one of the Clan's own members. Why did he take over Shadowdance's body? And what does he want? The plot has just begun, but how will it end?

Long ago, the clans of Thunderclan, Riverclan, Shadowclan and Windclan lived in a time of uncertainty, and violence. Shadowed by dark prophecies, betrayal and horrible schemes, it seemed as if the whole of starclan had fallen out of the sky and left their warrior decendants to fend for themselves. It was only through one cat's dreams, that it was certain that starclan had not abandoned the forest, for he was chosen by starclan to defend the and save all four clans from falling into a time of despair and death. His faith in starclan guided him, and Firestar rose above his enemies and managed to fell the horrible threat that loomed over the forest.
Now years later, all four clans live in a time of peace and tranquility. With the legacy of Firestar far behind them, the newest generation of cats have risen to enjoy the justice and security that their ancestors had fought for long ago. However, peace and tranquility is short lived. Soon, Starclan will once again call upon its decendants and shake the foundations of the forest with new prophecies.
Will you rise to meet the threat that sleeps? How much faith do you have in Starclan?
C.U.R.R.E.N.T. P.L.O.T. The clans are nearing peril, a peril that no cat can fight off, that no cat can see or hear. It is a peril spawned from what all cats fear because it is invisible; because it can kill. Starclan have sensed this peril and the warrior ancestors have gathered to choose four cats- one from each clan- to set out on a dangerous path beyond the world of the living to find a cure before the epidemic breaks.
